6 Nepalgunj Residents Die in Car Accident in India

Ranjha: Six people from Nepalgunj, Nepal, tragically lost their lives in a car accident that occurred in Shravasti district, India, on a Saturday night.

The victims have been identified as Baibhav Gupta (35), his wife Dipika Gupta (32), their three-year-old son Dallu Gupta, their six-month-old daughter Shreya Gupta, as well as Nilans Gupta (22) and his sister Sunita Gupta (20), all from two different families in Nepalgunj.

The accident took place when a car with an Indian number plate (UP 47 W 1217), traveling from Balrampur, India, to Nepalgunj, collided with a cow in Shravasti district. The car driver, Ajay Mishra, sustained critical injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.

The authorities, led by Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh Rathore from the District Police Office in Banke, are making arrangements to complete the necessary procedures for transporting the deceased bodies back to Nepal after the postmortem is conducted in Bahraich, India. It's a devastating incident that has resulted in the loss of precious lives from Nepalgunj.
